#1: How Burlington Developed Over Time

Background for the Educator: It is recommended that teachers read the brief history of Burlington for students ahead of time, as well as the more lengthy histories of Burlington’s neighborhoods listed in the bibliography. This lesson will use primary sources of maps and photographs, as well as a short reading on the history of Burlington to help students develop an understanding of Burlington grew over time, through their own analysis of primary source materials.
