Background for the Educator: Just like people (and everything else!), buildings are made up of parts. Each part is important to know and understand its function--why is it there? Before diving into historic architecture, it’s important to “build” students’ architectural vocabulary. This activity will do just that. Note: students should have an understanding of basic fractions for this lesson.
