Howard Chapel

Howard Chapel

Description by Thomas Visser

The High Victorian Gothic style chapel dates from 1882 when it was built for a cost of $5,000 by Burlington architect and builder A.B. Fisher.  Intended for burial services, the building was a gift to the City of Burlington by Louisa H. Howard, the sister of John Purple Howard, one of Burlington’s most generous benefactors.
